Learn to Skydive
How our Accelerated Freefall "AFF" Course works
Ground School & Tandem
-
The AFF ground school is the first step to becoming a licenced skydiver.
-
This is a minimum of 6hours theory where we provide you with all the information required to take on the skies.
-
We cover all things equipment, freefall body position, the canopy and emergency procedures. Everything learnt today is reiterated throughout your course.
-
The AFF tandem is designed to introduce you to freefall and flying a canopy.
Instructed Levels 1 to 8
-
The instructed levels are where you start skydiving with your own parachute.
-
The first three levels are with 2 instructors - during these jumps your aim is to show them you have a good body position and are altitude aware, whilst achieving the goals of the skydive.
-
The next four levels are with 1 instructor. In these jumps you learn to turn and how to get stable in the sky.
-
Level 8 is called a hop 'n' pop where you exit the aircraft and deploy your parachute shortly after.
Consolidation Jumps
-
Consolidation jumps also known as "consols" are 10 solo skydives.
-
These begin once you have successfully achieved the tasks in levels 1-8. These jumps are designed to help you gain confidence falling through the sky solo.
-
Once all 10 jumps are complete you are now officially a qualified skydiver and have achieved your "A Licence".
