Safety ! All of our instructors and equipment are first class. Within our business, this is the only way to be! All of our instructors are highly qualified and experienced British Parachute Association rated (qualified) instructors. We use the latest, high performance parachutes and systems specifically designed for these applications. They are designed, manufactured and tested to stringent safety and technical requirements. We use all mandatory back up safety systems and devices. Are there any age limits ? The minimum age is 16 (16 to 18 must receive parental consent). If you are over 40, you must get your Doctor “GP” to sign and stamp a Declaration of Fitness form. This will be sent to you with your booking confirmation and is also available from our download page. What Should I wear ? Casual, comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Please wear suitable footwear e.g. trainers. Can you breathe in Freefall ? At around 120 Mph it is a tad windy.. Breathing is no problem at all! Do spectacles/contact lenses cause a problem ? Not at all. We provide Goggles that protect the eyes and cover / hold your glasses in place. Insurance ? Upon registration, all Tandem Skydive students automatically receive Personal Liability (3rd party insurance). If you require Personal Accident insurance cover, you must arrange this before hand. What if the weather is bad on the day ? Skydiving is weather dependent. Cloud; Good visibility and broken cloud are required. The base of the cloud must be no lower than the opening height of the parachute. Wind; The maximum wind speed for Tandems is 20 knots. If you are unable to jump as a result of poor weather, we will rearrange a new date which is mutually convenient. What time will I jump ? On the day we work on a first come first served basis. Please arrive on time. Arrival times will be specified on your booking confirmation. Please plan to be at the Airfield for the whole day. It's a great day out. Disabilities ? If you are disabled this does not mean you cannot skydive. Contact us for more details. Medical Restrictions ? The primary medical restrictions for Tandem Skydives are diabetes, epilepsy, fits, recurrent blackouts, heart or lung disease, mental illness and some cases of asthma. If you are in any doubt, please contact us. We are here to help. All jumpers are required to sign a medical form before their jump declaring their fitness to take part. . Is there a weight limit ? 15 stone / 95 Kg in weight . |
